It is worth being precise, because the two are not the same thing. R 338.7004 is a standalone training requirement attached to licensure and renewal. Your board may separately require continuing education hours through accredited providers, and this course is not a substitute for those – it covers the implicit bias requirement, not your board's general CE total. If your renewal notice lists implicit bias training on a different line from your continuing education hours, this course addresses the first line. Check your notice for the second.
• Does this satisfy my medical license renewal?
  R 338.7004 applies to licenses and registrations issued under the Michigan Public Health Code, and implicit bias training is one of the conditions attached to renewal. For Michigan nurses – RN and LPN

Michigan nursing licenses are typically on a two-year renewal cycle, which puts the implicit bias requirement at two hours – the length of this course. Confirm your own cycle against your renewal notice; a first renewal after initial licensure can be prorated. You can complete it across several sittings. The course saves where you stopped, which is how most of it gets done – twenty minutes at a time, between shifts, on a phone.

Your certificate is issued the same day you finish and carries your name, the completion date, the sponsor's name and the program title. That's the documentation Michigan asks you to retain, and the retention period is six years.

If you hold a second Michigan license, check each one separately. Obligations do not combine, and the same training cannot be counted twice inside one cycle.
